Magbahagi, meaning ‘to share’ in Tagalog, is a fictional Filipino-American snack brand specializing in the Filipino dessert, polvoron. I highlighted my heritage by designing packaging for one of my favorite childhood snacks that also happens to be a national favorite. Incorporated into the design are pre-colonial tribal patterns, motifs inspired by woven banana leaves, and a color palette reminiscent of a Filipino’s favorite flavors: pinipig, ube, pandan, and coconut. The logistical design of the box also includes knockdown packaging.
